On March 22, 2014 KID Museum participated in WSSC’s Fourth Annual H2O Summit in downtown Silver Spring. We provided a unique experience at the entrance to the event with a display of an umbrella that illuminates when it’s raining. Nicole Catrett of the Exploratorium loaned us this incredible creation of hers. We augmented this installation with a hands-on activity that allowed visitors to make a special sensor that detects the presence of water.
