Hands-on relationship strengthening events for creative teams and leaders

Professional Team Building Programs

Reimagine what a team building event can be with an interactive experience at KID Museum Bethesda.

Whether your remote employees need a chance to come together or your team feels weighed down in day-to-day demands, our professional team building programs boost communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Led by professional educators in our extraordinary 30,000 square foot space, we have programs for groups from 5 to 150.

Chain Reaction

We take team building literally in this session filled with collaboration, innovation, and triumph. Your team will use common materials in uncommon ways to build a large-scale domino-effect installation. Expect to be stumped and then inspired, to fail and then figure it out as several small groups build part of the larger chain reaction. If you get it right, it’s a blast!

Participants: Minimum 10 / Maximum 25

Includes:

  • 90-minute session guided by our expert staff
  • Skill development to help your team overcome future workplace challenges
  • Post-worthy photos and video
  • Light refreshments

Creativity Challenge

Escape the ordinary and get ready to take over our maker studios for 60-90 minutes of experimentation, engineering, design, exploration, and maybe even a little friendly competition. Our professional educator staff will guide your group through a challenge designed to spark creative thinking and unleash your team’s problem-solving superpowers.

The challenge will end with a guided debrief and a chance to celebrate what you’ve created.

Participants: Minimum 20 / Maximum 150

Includes:

  • Facilitation by our expert staff
  • All materials, including a Team Toolkit to take home
  • Post-worthy photos and video
  • Light refreshments

Studio Deep Dive

Ditch the spreadsheets and break away from your inbox! It’s time for a creativity power-up with this studio-based 2-hour workshop. Your team will learn new skills, get creative, and remember how gratifying it is to make something. Choose from a session in our Woodshop, Textile Studio, Tech Lab, or Electronics Studio.

Participants: Minimum 5 / Maximum 20

Includes:

  • A 2-hour private workshop with a professional maker educator
  • All tools, equipment, and materials
  • Light refreshments
