We’re celebrating the DMV as a hub for sustainable innovation with a showcase of cutting-edge tech invented by local middle school students, impactful regional organizations like Bethesda Green, and major industry leaders like Boeing and Google.

But that’s not all. This free, family-friendly event will feature unique hands-on exhibits and challenges designed to bring out the inventor in everyone.

What Is the Invent the Future Challenge?

Invent the Future is one of the DC Metro region’s largest maker challenges integrating science, technology, engineering, and design.

Through the process of designing their own inventions, students learn to innovate, solve problems, gain confidence, and work with others — all crucial skills for future success.
