KID Museum Teen Programs begin with rising 9th graders, ages 14 and older.
Are you interested in working with kids or pursuing a career in education? KID Museum is now accepting applications for our Fall 2026 Teen Volunteer Program!
Teen Volunteers help facilitate hands-on STEM experiences for younger children during Sunday Open Explore, school-year programs, camps, and other family events. It’s a great opportunity to develop leadership and teaching skills, gain real-world experience, connect with other teen leaders, and earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours while inspiring the next generation of makers. Application due date is Thursday, August 20 at 5:00pm.

Teen Innovators is a 12-week experience for high school students who are curious, creative, and eager to explore woodworking, textiles, electronics, and coding.
Meeting once a week, participants develop technical skills while learning from experienced educators and engaging with professionals from a variety of industries. Through hands-on, STEAM-based projects and collaborative design experiences, teens strengthen their confidence as problem solvers, communicators, and leaders. Along the way, they gain insight into the pathways that value creativity, innovation, and making.
Whether you’re exploring a future career or simply love learning new skills, Teen Innovators offers the opportunity to experiment, collaborate, and discover what’s possible. Application due date for Fall 2026 is Thursday, August 27 at 5:00 p.m.
