Sunday Workshops

Our new 90-minute skill-building workshops offer a unique opportunity to work in small groups with our expert Maker Educators. Learn to use a range of tools, work with new materials, and build your maker skills. Workshops are drop-off activities for students, and the fee includes museum entry. Come early or stay after to enjoy all of KID Museum.

INTRO TO WOODSHOP: DRILLS

Students will learn how to use a drill and then put their skills to use as they create a custom wooden character.

Students will learn how to use a drill and hand saw and then put their skills to use as they create a one of a kind toy or fidget.

INTRO TO CARDBOARD CONSTRUCTION: SCROLL SAW

Students will learn how to use a scroll saw to make intricate curves and corners. They will then use those skills to create a wearable design from cardboard while also exploring various fasteners.

INTRO TO 3D PRINTING: TINKERCAD

Explore the fundamentals of digital design using TinkerCAD, learn the basics of a 3D printer, and then see how the two work together to bring your designs to life.

**All 3D prints will be ready to pick-up a week after the workshop.
