Open Studio Workshops

Bring your own project or pick one of our pre-selected starter projects to build your own way! You’ll have 90 minutes with the tools and materials in one of our Maker Studios, plus the support of a Maker Educator to keep you moving.

These sessions are for students only, not caregivers, and are only available for learners in or above the 4th grade. Makers are not guaranteed a finished project in a single session.

TWO-STUDIO TOOL HIGHLIGHT: TEXTILES + FAB LAB

NOTICE: This workshop is NOT an Open Studio.

Learn how to use a Cricut to cut heat transfer vinyl and create a custom design. Bring your own T-shirt, tote bag, or other fabric item to apply your design to. All materials must be non-synthetic cotton or cotton blends. Designs will be no larger than 10″ × 10″. KID Museum will also provide a limited selection of items available for heat transfer.
