KID Museum is an experiential museum and educational makerspace for children and youth. We foster the “Mind of a Maker” in the next generation, empowering them with the skills to invent the future. Since opening our doors more than five years ago, over 300,000 kids, educators, and community members have participated in our engaging programs. The results are impressive — A Harvard study shows that KID Museum students experienced significant gains in critical thinking, collaboration, perseverance, and STEM engagement.
Beyond our partnerships with local public and independent schools, KID Museum hosts three signature events each year: our annual Invent the Future Challenge, one of the region’s largest science, design, and invention challenges for youth, reaches upwards of 1,000 middle schoolers; FutureFest, which attracts over 15,000 attendees, including local leaders in business and government; and Fête for the Future, our annual fundraiser.
We are able to accomplish this through meaningful partnerships with corporations across the Greater Washington D.C. region and beyond, and we hope you will join us.
