Namaste, KID Museum. Last Sunday, we celebrated international Day of Yoga with yoga classes and yoga-inspired activities. Kids and their parents could be found practicing their downward dog and triangle poses in classes throughout the day. Led by a yoga expert from the Art of Living Foundation, participants tapped into their inner om.
On the other side of the floor, kids were encouraged to use their creativity in decorating a giant mandala with various found objects like art supplies, circuits and building blocks. The final product was a glittering and colorful masterpiece worthy of the day. Meanwhile, visitors had a chance to experiment with a breath sensor. When participants breathed into the device a breath sensor activated an Arduino (microcontroller) so they could visualize their breath. This allowed guests to feel more connected to their mind, body and spirit.
