Teen Innovators

Join a group of creative high school students interested in exploring various maker areas through hands-on, STEAM-based projects. Meet once a week to work in KID’s state-of-the-art studios while developing peer mentoring and leadership skills. Past projects have included building Bluetooth-enabled speakers, interactive cardboard sculptures, and drawstring bags.

Access for Every Maker: We are dedicated to expanding access to all makers by providing free and reduced-cost ways to participate in our programming. Please use this form to reach out if you are an educator, a member of the military, or if program fees pose a financial hardship, and we’ll ensure you and your family can participate.

SPRING REGISTRATION IS OPEN

As a Teen Innovator, you will:

  • Meet once a week to develop valuable skills and work on individual and group projects in KID’s woodshop, fabrication lab, electronics studio, technology lab, and textiles studio 
  • Learn from industry professionals and explore college and career opportunities in both STEM and non-STEM fields
  • Showcase final projects at KID’s Sunday Museum hours and special events
  • Build skills in Arduino or TinkerCAD
