Community Celebrations

Throughout the year, KID Museum highlights and celebrates communities with special events and programs including Meet a Maker opportunities, cultural traditions and heritage maker workshops, and digital activities and projects.

Through partnerships with local organizations, artists, artisans, makers, and activists, we shine a light and elevate the many extraordinary contributions of diverse communities and cultures.

Join us for these celebrations and learn more about the #HistoryMakers in these communities, spend time with local changemakers, and be inspired by communities working to make a difference in our world.

Making Connections, Making History

“History is being made at KID Museum, and it was notably present during our Black History Month Celebration this year. The youth who walked through our doors in February to engage with Black innovators, inventors, and makers are the ones who will shape the future with their own inventions, innovations, and creativity. At KID Museum, we deeply value the power of representation and the importance of providing our youth with a place where they belong, with examples of what’s possible.” – Odalys Lugo-Morales, (former) Senior Manager of Community and Partner Engagement
