KID Museum is an experiential museum and educational makerspace for children and youth. We foster the “Mind of a Maker” in the next generation, empowering them with the skills to invent the future. Since opening our doors in 2014, we have served more than 300,000 kids, educators, and community members through our engaging programs

The Invent the Future Challenge is one of the region’s largest maker challenges integrating science, technology, engineering, and design. Each year, KID Museum brings together hundreds of middle school students, families, educators, and community members to invent solutions to the question:

What will you make to protect life on this planet?

Designed to engage the community, the Challenge takes learning beyond the classroom, empowering youth as creative problem solvers with the skills to invent the future.

Sponsor organizations reach thousands of students, educators, families, and community leaders in our area. Sponsor employees also have various volunteer opportunities from invention judging to student mentorship.
