If you were one of the almost 200 people who came in to KID Museum for MLK Day, you know that it was a lively day, filled with fun drop-in activities and solid line-up of special workshops, including 3D-printed jewelry, soldering, hat-making, and motorized spin pins. In the afternoon, kids were able to explore motors and engines in an impressive hands-on display. In addition, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation offered free coding “boot-camps” on-site, teaching the logic of coding through video game design.
Students from our partnership schools–Westland and Parkland Middle Schools–were our special guests that day, along with elementary children from select Title I schools throughout the county.
