Meet the Maker: Trashmagination

By September 22, 2017January 10th, 2018No Comments

By Carla Brown, Trashmagination

Carla Brown is the maker behind Trashmagination, a podcast and blog about reimaging trash. She has been designing crafts from trash for most of her life. Join her at KIDfest, this Sunday, to see how she processes plastic bags, juice pouches, plastic caps and plastic milk jugs into beautiful and useful items. Don’t miss her shark anatomy model from a recycled soda bottle and her butterflies sewn from recycled neckties!

Once you’ve been inspired by Carla’s Creations, you’ll have an opportunity to make a super-cute creature named Capulet from recycled materials.

After creating your own Capulet, be sure to ask Carla if you can try on her vest and hat made from flexible food packaging. It’s all the rage!

All podcast reviewers will receive a special creative thank you gift when they show her their podcast review at KIDfest!

Trashmagination will be located at booth 54, inside the building at KIDfest.
