KID Museum Brings the Fun to Barnesville School

By March 12, 2020No Comments

KID Museum took the show on the road on a recent Friday evening, providing maker fun for the Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences students, families, and faculty. As part of our ongoing partnership with the school, KID Museum educators facilitated Barnesville’s annual Family Fun Night. Attendees of all ages worked shoulder to shoulder connecting oversized pipes for a communal ball run, constructing flying objects to test in wind tubes, exploring circuits, playing with ozobots, and drilling in the “lumberyard.”

Through the partnership, Barnesville students engage in meaningful, deep-learning experiences at KID Museum throughout the school year. Third through eighth graders participate in our multi-session Invention Studio program, and Barnesville educators take part in professional development to support this learning. KID Museum also works with the school on integrating maker learning into their curriculum. Family Fun Night was a vibrant celebration of this special partnership and community.
