Identity is an organization that provides opportunities for Latino youth to get on a path toward realizing their full potential. They aim to reverse negative development trends in the Latino community, such as high teenage pregnancy rates and low academic achievement, and empower Latino youth to become confident leaders and achievers. Identity provides resources to Latino Youth such as GED classes, recreation programs, mental health counselors, and a wide variety of other programming designed to promote positive development.
Through a partnership with KID Museum, Identity is bringing kids from local middle schools to the museum for a series of visits to participate in our Chain Reaction Series, where the kids build ramps and courses out of wood and cardboard and tested them with plastic balls. This is part of Identity’s Summer Bridge Program to help improve academic success, as well as to help improve social and emotional development.
