Discover what you can make this winter break!

KID Museum’s Winter Daily Camps explore a different theme each day – superheroes, shadow puppets, Harry Potter, and more. Attend one day or attend them all!

Visit our Policies page for information on grade levels, cancellations, and more.

Tuesday, 12/26:

Super KIDs – 2nd-4th grade

Be a superhero for the day! Make your own cape and plaster-mold mask, develop a story for your hero, create light-up accessories (like Iron Man’s light-up gloves); and design your superhero logo on our 3D printers.

Maker Camp: Electronics & Fab Lab – 5th-7th

Explore our Electronics and Fab Lab Maker Studios. Master electronics tools and skills, then head into the Fab Lab and design your own objects for 3D printing.

Wednesday, 12/27:

Makin’ Jamz – 2nd-4th

Create your own instruments and make music with your camp ensemble. Using basic woodworking tools, participants will make a wooden marimba and a bamboo flute. Taught by maker educator and musician Jordan Ouro.

Harry Potter – 5th-7th

Leave the Muggle World behind and experience a bit of Harry Potter-inspired magic this winter. Create “magical” items inspired by Harry Potter, play quidditch, and practice dueling.

Thursday, 12/28:

Shadow Puppet Theater – 2nd-4th

Create a shadow puppet theater complete with puppets, lights, and a background. Learn basic circuitry and textiles while discovering the ancient art of shadow play.

Putt Putt Golf – 5th-7th

Work in teams to design and create your own hole of mini-golf. We’ll put all our creations together to make one big course, with plenty of time to play a round or two!

Friday, 12/29:

New Year’s Eve Camp – 2nd-4th

Celebrate the end of the year in this New Year’s themed maker camp. Work collaboratively to design, decorate, and build a New Year’s Eve ball drop, create a stop-motion countdown video, wire together light-up 2018 glasses, and make noisemakers to use when the clock strikes midnight.

Service Camp –  5th-7th

In this service-oriented camp, use your maker skills to create gifts for the Children’s Inn, make pet toys and blankets for the Humane Society, and build eco-friendly bee houses. Sixth and seventh-graders may receive SSL hours for completing this camp.
