KID Museum is open to the public on the weekend with workshops in our Maker Studios, Open Build time, and over a dozen Open Explore activities. Each weekend offers something new, providing unique hands-on learning experiences designed and facilitated by our professional Maker Educators and a team of Apprentices.

Maker Studios

Gain foundational skills and become certified in our Maker Studios (Woodshop, Fab Lab, Electronics, and Textiles) to unlock access to Open Build. Advance through three levels: Explorer (1st – 2nd grade), Tinkerer (3rd grade+), and Maker (3rd grade+).

Open Build

Certified in one of our Maker Studios? You’ve now unlocked access to Open Build! Use this time to hone your skills and explore what projects you can create with guidance from our professional Maker Educators.

Workshops

Every weekend we feature unique workshops that introduce new skills, materials, and concepts. Examples of past workshops include: 3D Fidget Spinners, Harry Potter Scarves, Intro to Laser Printing, and Arduino Dice.

Open Explore

Drop-in for Open Explore featuring over a dozen hand-on activities that are free with general admission and fun for all ages. Activities involve engineering, electronics, design, arts, and more. 10am – 5pm every Saturday and Sunday.
