A world-class museum and learning center that inspires creativity and innovation.
A permanent home has been a part of our vision since we first opened our prototype space in Davis Library in 2014. We’re serving 55,000 people from across the DC region each year with an ever-increasing demand. We estimate serving 300,000 people a year at a new site, with a continued emphasis on providing high-quality, transformative programming that reaches children from across the socio-economic spectrum.
A future home will:
– Attract 300,000 visitors per year from the DC metro area and beyond.
– Build community identity, activate spending in the local economy, and foster future workforce development for the area.
– Serve as a national model for 21st century learning, positioning the region as a leader in innovative education.
– Provide a dynamic hub for children, families and educators, working in partnership with the MCPS school district.
