KID Museum is open to the public on Sundays with workshops in our Maker Studios and over a dozen Open Explore activities. Each weekend offers something new, providing unique hands-on learning experiences designed and facilitated by our professional Maker Educators and a team of Apprentices.
This Sunday: Things that move! Learn how to harness wind, water, and electricity to give motion to cars, boats, flyers, toys and artistic mobiles!
No registration required, drop in anytime between 10am – 5pm.

Electronics: Circuit Bugs | Rising 1st-2nd Graders | 10:30am
Learn about electricity and circuits as you create your own light-up bug using a battery, wires, LEDs, and craft materials. Rising 1st-2nd graders. REGISTER
Robotics & Coding: Robotics Animals | Rising 3rd-5th Graders | 12:30pm
Learn to use robotic inputs and outputs with the Hummingbird Robotics kit. Then design your own robotic animal, wire it up, and program the parts to make your animal come to life! Rising 3rd-5th graders. REGISTER
MakeLab 2 | Rising 6th-8th Graders | 3pm
Join us this summer for the debut of MakeLab – an opportunity to explore our studios in an entirely new way! Get hands-on time with advanced tools, gain higher level skills, and complete a different project each time. Space is limited – register for one session or as many as you’d like.
