Maker Studio: Woodshop Maker (Level II)

Ramp up your carpentry skills. Learn how to cut accurate angles with a mitre box, advanced drilling, and fastening and shaping techniques. Then, smooth it all out with a power sander. Complete this certification workshop to become an official “Woodshop Maker”! Must have a Woodshop Tinkerer certification to participate in Woodshop Maker.

Skills Gained: using a mitre box, power sanding, cutting metal wire, using countersink and drive tips, using a drill gauge and press fitting, shaping woodtechniques

Tools/Materials Used: wood, wire, mitre box, saw, power drills, countersinks, drive tips, power sanders, drill gauge, wire cutters, rasps/files

Age: 3rd grade+ (Students in 2nd grade are eligible for Woodshop Tinkerer if they have successfully completed Woodshop Explorer.)
