Maker Studio: Electronics Tinkerer (Level I)

Learn how to splice wire using wire strippers and heat shrink, then build your own circuit with a handmade switch. This certification workshop unlocks access to weekend Open Build sessions!

Skills Gained: stripping and splicing wire, creating a switch, and reading a circuit diagram

Tools/Materials Used: wire, wire strippers, heat shrink, heat guns, LEDs, copper tape

Age: 3rd grade+ (Students in 2nd grade are eligible for Electronics Tinkerer if they have successfully completed Electronics Explorer.)
