The 2017 World of Montgomery Festival celebrates the rich diversity of the DC Area through international music, food, dance, culturally authentic arts demos, hands-on activities, and more. - Ethiopia: experience a traditional coffee ceremony
- China: pestle seeds from grain
- Egypt: learn to make papyrus
- India: Kolam painting (made from rice flour)
- Jamaica: make burlap coffee bags
- South Korea: play jegichagi, Korean hacky sack
KID Museum’s harvest-related interactive activities include several communal projects: weaving a giant basket; drilling and assembling a giant drum; creating a mosaic using rice, beans, wheat, and other harvest materials; and “harvesting gratitude” by inviting participants to help build a communal art project centered on what they are grateful for.
