MAKING SPACES INITIATIVE

Making Spaces: Expanding Maker Education Across the Nation

Making Spaces: Expanding Maker Education Across the Nation is a new initiative by Google, Maker Ed, and the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh (CMP), created to help schools from around the country sustainably integrate making into the school day.

KID Museum has been selected as a regional hub for this initiative. As a hub, we will work closely with schools to launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds and community support for maker opportunities at their schools. KID Museum will also offer professional development opportunities for maker education in classrooms. For more information on the school campaigns, please see Making Spaces FAQ.
