Making Spaces Initiative

Making Spaces: Expanding Maker Education Across the Nation is a new initiative by Google, Maker Ed, and the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh (CMP), created to help schools from around the country sustainably integrate making into the school day.

KID Museum has been selected as a regional hub for this initiative. As a hub, we are working closely with local schools to launch crowdfunding campaigns, designed to raise funds and community support for school-based maker opportunities. In addition, KID Museum is providing guidance, professional development, and support to help these efforts succeed. We’re excited to post the first of our selected schools’ campaigns here. Check back this fall for more.
